The Rita Marley Foundation (Jamaica) 2nd Annual Essay Competition

The Rita Marley Foundation (JA) recently launched its 2nd annual Essay Competition with participating schools issuing the essay theme and competition guidelines to students.

This year’s theme:

“If you are selected to address world leaders on behalf of the youth, what would be your message and why.”

Invitations were sent to numerous high schools. Seven accepted and will be represented by the following students:

Details

• Essays will be submitted to the Foundation on June 1st and assessed by a distinguished panel of judges.
• Winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony slated for July 1.
• Trophies and prizes will be issued to the top three performing schools and individual writers/
• The 1st place essay will be published in Harambe, the Rita Marley Foundation newsletter.

In February, the Rita Marley Foundation (JA) held a highly successful 1st annual public speaking competition at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
