Another Legends Award

Africa’s first global TV network, Africa Network Television (ANTV) will honour Mrs. Rita Marley for astounding impact on Africa and people of African descent. The selection based on unparalleled works and commitment to improving health, education and nutrition of infants, youth and the elderly through the Rita Marley Foundation in Jamaica and Ghana.

In a letter addressed to Mrs. Rita Marley, Ms. Theresa Okorochukwu, administrator/president of African Network Television (ANTV) extolled “You have made Africa proud both on a National and global level; a role model and compassionate leader; an ambassador of love and of reggae music; you are an ANTV Legend.”

The awards ceremony will be held on August 29th at the University of Florida, Gainesville, U.S.A during the multi-nation launching ceremony of African Network Television (ANTV). Four other distinguished persons will be conferred Legends Awards: Dr. Emmanuel Voado, Neurosurgeon and Founder/President Cosmopolitan Aid; HE (AU) Ambassador Dr Erieka Bennett, Head of Mission African Union (AU) Diaspora Forum; Hon. Dr. Fatoumata Ceesay, former National Speaker The Gambia National Assembly, former Deputy Speaker ECOWAS, former President Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Founder Family Rights Advancement and Protection (FRAP); Pharmacist Stella-Maris Patcha Adamu President/Owner Empire Hotel /The Savoy Palm Hotels in Cameroon, Founder/President Mauritia Patcha Foundation.

On September 12, Mrs. Marley will be bestowed the Living Legends Award by the UN Women and the African Union Diaspora Africa Forum (AUDAF).
