Cultural Storytelling on World Peace Day

The Rita Marley Foundation (Jamaica) held a Cultural Storytelling activity at Curlin Johnson Basic School, Mountain View, for International World Peace Day (Sept. 21). The entire school participated.

“Good morning ohhhhh, good morning
Good morning oh me neighbor, good morning
We all are one, we all are one,
We all are one Bongo nation, we all are one”

Storyteller Amina Blackwood Meeks’ energetic entrance captivated the spirited students who also sang along.

And then…

“When I say, Crick, you say, Crack” Amina instructed. “Crick”… “Crack”… “Crick”…. “Crack”… the enthralled students responded.
