Previous-recipient rules: Marley for Education — Basic, Primary & High School recipients must wait 2 years before reapplying. Previous recipients of Marley for Education — Undergraduate, Rita Marley Annual Scholarship, or the Marketing Internship Scholarship are not eligible to receive the same scholarship again. Prior recipients of the Merline Heholt Endowment Scholarship are reviewed by the Foundation on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility
Eligibility varies by scholarship. Applicants should review the requirements for the scholarship they are interested in before applying. All applicants must attend a qualifying public educational institution in Jamaica.
Yes. You may apply for more than one scholarship if you meet the eligibility requirements for each one. However, only one scholarship may be awarded per household in the same application cycle.
- Marley for Education — Basic, Primary & High School: Previous recipients may reapply after two years.
- Marley for Education — Undergraduate: Previous recipients are not eligible to receive this scholarship again.
- Rita Marley Annual Scholarship: Previous recipients are not eligible to receive this scholarship again.
- Marketing Internship Scholarship: Previous recipients are not eligible to receive this scholarship again.
- Merline Heholt Endowment Scholarship: Prior-recipient eligibility is reviewed by the Foundation on a case-by-case basis.
No. These scholarships are available only to eligible students attending qualifying public schools or accredited public tertiary institutions in Jamaica.
Yes. A parent or primary guardian responsible for the child may complete the application on the student’s behalf.
Application Process
After a successful submission, an Application ID will appear on the confirmation screen. Save this number because it may be required if you contact the Foundation about your application.

No. The application must be completed and submitted in one sitting.
Applicants cannot directly edit a submitted application. To request a correction, email the Foundation as soon as possible. Correction requests are reviewed individually and changes are not guaranteed.
Email administration@bobmarleyfoundation.org promptly with your Application ID and a clear description of the requested correction.
No supporting documents are required during the initial application. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted later if documents are needed.
Applications are accepted online only and must be submitted by the published deadline. Applicants who need help using the online form should contact the Foundation before the deadline.
Review and Selection
Applications are assessed through several stages, including eligibility screening and a needs assessment. Meeting the eligibility requirements allows you to apply but does not guarantee an award.
Some applicants may be invited to an interview during the review process. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted directly.
Applications are reviewed in stages. Applicants will be contacted when an action is required or when a decision is available.
No. Scholarship decisions are final.
Awards and Payments
Scholarship awards are paid directly to the approved school or educational institution by bank transfer.
Funds are not paid to applicants or their families by cash, cheque or personal bank transfer.
No. Each scholarship is awarded for one application cycle only. Future applications remain subject to the applicable reapplication rules.
Privacy and Technical Support
Your information is used to administer the scholarship programme, assess eligibility and need, communicate with applicants and meet legal and administrative obligations.
Access is limited to authorized Foundation personnel and approved reviewers involved in the scholarship process. Please review the Foundation’s Privacy Notice for more information.
